But each tradition represents the true cultural values of Karnataka. Kannada weddings are, unlike other Indian weddings, not belong to extensive and vibrant outlook. The pre-wedding customs are being performed well before the main day. The priest confirms the right time, which is called muhurtham, to start new relationship between both the families. After completing the pre-wedding customs, the main day i.e. wedding comes in which the bride and the groom tying the knot with each other. Grahapravesh, name change, presenting clothes and traditional feast or reception are such customs, which are conducted during the post-wedding time.
